Prerequisite: First year standing in the College of Pharmacy.
Corequisite: PHAR 4265 , PHAR 4251 .
Self-Care is defined as the independent act of preventing, diagnosing, and treating oneβs own illnesses without seeking the care of a licensed physician by using medications that do not require a prescription. This includes, but is not limited to, general care measures and nonprescription drugs. This course is designed to prepare future pharmacists to assess whether patients are candidates for self-care and to recommend appropriate self-care measures and therapeutic plans for commonly encountered self-manageable conditions.
